If you’re an author, you can create your own free page on Amazon.com. I did.

JL amazon page 300x112 ?

(Click the screen shot)

As you can see, I was able to add;

  • My biography

  • A link to my book (in all formats)

  • A customer discussion area

  • A link to my main franchise blog

  • My latest Twitter discussions  Follow me @FranchiseKing

I’ve found that some authors aren’t aware of this free feature from Amazon.com.

Another great thing about the Amazon.com is the fact that readers of my book can easily post reviews. (Easily)

Hint. Hint.

There are some book reviews up already. But, I hear that they’re getting kind of lonely.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Some franchise business opportunities are easier to visualize owning than others. There are several reasons for it, and one of them has to do with history; your history. Let me explain…

Hot Franchise Topic: Getting a Loan

It seems like the entire franchise industry is focused on funding, and with good reason; franchise loans are still a bit challenging to secure.

Military Veterans And Franchises: A Fit?

I’ve had the honor of working with several of our military veterans over the years. I’ve participated in Veteran’s Symposiums. And, I’ve helped veterans find franchise businesses. I love working with veterans. I figure that it’s the least I can do. ItR...

The Perfect Location

Last week, on your way to work, you noticed that there was an empty retail space in one of the more popular strip centers in your area. Although you’ve shopped there in the past, for some strange reason, you can’t remember what used to be in that empty space. Whatever.

Please Vote For This .biz Franchise Website!

The .biz domain name is celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary, and the business website that you’re now on is part of the celebration! Little did I know that when I found out that the “.com” domain was already taken for my book’s official website, that it would actu...

Taxes and the Deficit

Normally, this column is supposed to cover the tax changes over the prior year and how they impact the hospitality industry. Last year, we commented about how 2010 was an interesting year but little in the tax field had passed. 2010 was all about health care reform, the change in control of the House and the rise of the tea party. It was a very political and partisan year. If anything, 2011 was worse. Never has so little been accomplished by so many. Brinkmanship was the key word for 2011. It will be known more for what did not occur rather than what did. It is not unusual for partisan politics to take center stage in an election year. While 2011 was not, the race for the Presidency and control of the House and Senate began before all the winners from 2010 were known.

National Press Writes about Restaurant Franchising

On May 18th, the national press, both The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, wrote about restaurant franchising. Some additional notes are warranted.

Going Green Costs Franchisees Much Green

Being forced to buy imaginary products is just one of the nonsensical results of government policy affecting franchisors and franchisees.
